Beta tester guide

Thank you for testing AskAniela. This page tells you how to get in, what to try and how to tell us what is wrong.

Dates

  • Closed tests start on Tuesday, 2026-10-20 for invited testers.
  • From 2026-11-17 we let in people from the waiting list gradually, in small groups.

1. Invitation and account

  1. You get an invitation link by e-mail. The link works once and expires after some time.
  2. Open the link, set your password (at least 8 characters), accept the beta terms and read the privacy notice.
  3. Click Create account, then Sign in with your e-mail and password.

If the link says "Invitation unavailable", it is invalid, expired or already used - ask us for a new one.

2. First login: Getting started

After the first login you see Getting started: accept the Terms of Service and follow six short steps (project, first check, site audit, sample report, API key, reporting wrong results). You can come back to it from the sidebar at any time. The language of the app (English or Polish) can be switched in the app.

3. Your beta limit: $20 a month

  • Each tester organization gets $20 of usage per month, free of charge. The month is the UTC calendar month.
  • Every action has a fixed price in USD (see Balance and pricing); the dashboard shows Spent this month and your balance.
  • When the $20 are used up, new checks are blocked until the next month. Your reports stay available.
  • The panel and your API keys share the same limit.
  • Need more for testing? Write to us and we can raise your limit.
  • Rarely, the whole beta may pause for the rest of the month ("Beta paused") when the shared beta budget is used. Reports stay available.

4. What to test

Please try as many of these as you can, on sites you own or may analyse:

Area What to try
Spam & Quality Check One page by URL; options "Evidence for hits" and "Render JavaScript"; adding categories later with an upgrade.
Site audits A domain or sitemap; your own URL list (TXT, CSV, ZIP); choosing patterns and categories; the cost estimate.
Search Intent One phrase, a list and a CSV file; different markets (e.g. pl-PL, en-US); CSV export.
Projects Creating projects, adding members, roles, private mode, the JavaScript rendering default.
Reports Filtering findings, re-running, exports to HTML, PDF and CSV.
Share links A link with and without a password, expiry, opening it in a private browser window, revoking it.
API keys and API Creating, rotating and revoking a key; your first API call.

Things we especially want to hear about: results you disagree with, confusing texts, errors, slow pages and anything that would stop you from using AskAniela at work.

5. How to send feedback in the app

  • Wrong result for a rule: in a report, click Wrong? next to the rule. Choose False positive (flagged, but the page does not do this), False negative (missed) or Unclear, add a comment and click Send.
  • Problem with a whole report: click Report a problem at the top of the report and describe it. We automatically see which report and which versions it was.
  • Anything else (ideas, bugs in the app): reply to the invitation e-mail or write to the contact you got from us.

Reporting wrong results is the most useful feedback during the beta.

6. Known limitations

  • Results are risk estimates, not Google decisions, and the app does not know how Google treats your site.
  • Some rules cannot be assessed from a single page; the report lists them under "not assessed".
  • Pages that build content only with JavaScript may need Render JavaScript (extra cost).
  • Site audits check up to 200 pages per audit in the beta; at most 2 audits or jobs run or wait at once per organization.
  • Search Intent: Ani's quick look (Basic) is available now; Ani takes a closer look (Premium) and Ani compares your page (Compare) are marked "Soon".
  • Members can only be added if they already have an account; e-mail invitations to projects are not available yet.
  • The interface, texts and prices may change during the beta. Card payments are not available in the beta.

7. Your data

Reports are kept in your organization. In private mode a project stores only the host of each address and removes page content after the job. See the privacy notice in the app for details.
