Search Intent

Search Intent tells you what searchers want for a phrase: the intents with their shares and the recommended form of the page (for example a guide, a calculator, a product listing).

Run an analysis

  1. Open Search Intent.
  2. Pick a Project.
  3. Enter phrases in one of three ways:
    • Phrase - one phrase and its Market (language-COUNTRY, e.g. en-US, pl-PL).
    • List - one phrase per line; optionally a market after a comma, e.g. loan installment calculator,en-GB.
    • CSV file - columns query, market (optional), device (optional). Duplicates run once.
  4. Level - how closely Ani looks:
    • Ani's quick look (Basic, $0.0090) - what people really want from this phrase: the intents, their shares and the form of content that fits best. Available now.
    • Ani takes a closer look (Premium, $0.0750, coming soon) - the quick look plus the top pages: their length, elements, content types and what searchers expect from them.
    • Ani compares your page (Compare, coming soon, price at launch) - the closer look plus your page next to the top results: what is missing and what to add. The field for your page appears only for this level.
  5. Search results - choose how fresh they must be:
    • Use recent results (default) - if Ani checked the same phrase and market in the last 3 days, she reuses those results: $0.0015, or free if her analysis of them is ready too. The form tells you the date, e.g. "Ani has results from 2 days ago - $0.0015".
    • Fetch fresh results - Ani always fetches today's results, at the full price ($0.0090).
  6. Check the Summary and click Analyse.

Results usually take a few minutes. Failed phrases are not charged. Search results change every few days, so pick fresh results when today's picture matters.

Results

The History list shows single phrases and batches. Open a result to see the intents, or use Export CSV for a batch. The Results from column shows the date of the search results. Single results can be exported to HTML, PDF and CSV and shared.

Earlier results: a report lists your earlier reports for the same phrase and market with their dates. Open an older one to see how the results changed.

Tip: in a Spam & Quality Check you can add a target query to compare the page with the dominant intent of that query.
